WE ARE 10!
That's right- today Grace Lane Vets has turned 10! We have been caring for your animals for a whole ten years and it's been an absolute pleasure, we have made some fantastic clients and friends in this time and we want to thank you all for your continued support.
We are also moving to a new site in Kirkbymoorside sometime in 2020 (as the new surgery has not been built yet), we are really excited for this change, and are looking forward to being able to offer you even more services in our new state of the art surgery... watch this space!
We have today received our Accredited status from the RCVS (the regulatory body for veterinary surgeons in the United Kingdom) and are very proud to have received this accolade!
It is important to us, as it is to you, that your pets receive the highest level of care and attention when they are visiting us, which is why for the last 6 months we have be working hard behind the scenes to become an RCVS accredited practice. This is a voluntary practice standards scheme that quality assures practices and their facilities. Roughly half of UK veterinary practices are accredited. This means we have been inspected and assessed and gives you peace of mind that we will be operating to the highest standards when taking care of your best friend. We will continue to be assessed and checked regularly to ensure we maintain high standards in our care and facilities.
As our lambing meeting proved so popular last year, we will be holding another this year on 22nd February at The Lion Inn at Blakey at 7pm. Please RSVP to us at the practice on 01751432777 as spaces are limited. Supper will be provided.
Both our student nurses, Annabel and Chloe have passed their OSCE's today, making them qualified Veterinary Nurses! Celebrations all round!
Maternity Leave x2
Both Rebecca and Stephanie are now back at work part-time and Rebecca is working toward getting the practice RCVS accredited- Watch this space!
One of our Vets, Rebecca Benson, is currently away on Maternity leave, and we have Charis Holmes, a recent graduate filling in for her. Charis has been here as a student on placement many times, so she will be a familiar face to many of you!
One of our Nurses, Stephanie Gill, is also away on Maternity leave.
We wish them both well with their new arrivals!
